Leadership of the CUDC - The Directorate

Jose L. Perez, the Chair of the California Utilities Diversity Council, is the publisher of the Latino Journal, an eight-year-old non-partisan publication dedicated to public policy and government from a Latino perspective (www.latinojournal.net).  In 2003 he received the California Businessman of the Year Award from the National Congressional Republican Caucus in Washington D.C.  The Latino Journal has featured President George W. Bush, former Vice President Al Gore, Lt. Governor Cruz M. Bustamante, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and former Governor Gray Davis on the cover.  Mr. Perez is a member of the Economic Development and Workforce Development Program Advisory Committee of the California Community Colleges, a member of the UC Davis Leadership Advisory Council, a member of the California Hispanic Association for Corporate Responsibility and past Vice President of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce as well as past President of the Sacramento Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.  Mr. Perez has over 25 years of executive personnel management experience working with the State of California including serving as assistant director for Caltrans.
